Save Gas

Saving on gas and saving the outrageous amounts of money we spend on gas has become one of the hottest topics of discussion these days. Here’s a look at some ways that we can all save on gas usage and on saving some money too.

Saving Heat In The Cold

If you live in the South, where the weather is usually hot and muggy, the winter cold really seems to get into your bones. The winter season is so short that your body doesn’t have time to acclimatize and so the winter months are that much more uncomfortable. Let’s look at a few things that have been around for a long time, but which are worth repeating.

When To Buy Gas

The best time to buy gas is when we have some control of the buying. This article highlights several strategies and do’s and don’ts of gas purchasing. You will save plenty of time and money and heartache by following some of these suggestions.

Watch Those Utilities

It’s tough enough to try to save money these days without losing it to inaccurate utility bills. Most people receive their utility bills and just pay them without really looking to see that the amounts are true.

Save Money With Your Car

Normally we think of a car as an expensive thing; it is expensive to buy and expensive to operate. It is possible to save money with the family car if we think in terms of what costs can be lowered in the operation of our vehicles. Here’s a couple ways to lower daily costs while operating your car.

Save Electricity in the Kitchen

Anything in the house that uses electricity is a potential money saver. If it is a light bulb, then the more it is turned off, the more money is saved on the electricity used. If we could live in the dark that would be a great money saver! When it comes to appliances we usually don’t think of them as electricity hogs. Things like refrigerators, stoves, mixers, dishwashers and more use a fair amount of electricity every time we use them though we don’t usually think about it.

Save Energy With Sail

For you folks that are into boating here’s an old idea that can save energy. Way back in the early days of boating, after man learned how to propel his boat with the oar, wind power was harnessed through the use of sails. Imagine the savings in the cost of gasoline or diesel fuel if a boat were to cross the ocean using wind power and not fossil fuel. You could go anywhere on the surface of the world’s oceans without spending a penny on fuel. Of course, not many of us want to cross oceans, but we can still utilize the sail to save fuel.

Scooters Save Energy

In the continuing goal to save energy, all of us look closely at the amount of gasoline that we consume. The more powerful the vehicle, the more fuel it uses.

Save Energy With The Family

All of us would like to save energy anywhere we can. Energy (like gas, electricity, oil, etc) costs a lot of money these days, and it is getting worse. We can save money on energy by doing things with the family that utilize walking as the primary mode of transportation.
