Having money means that you can buy things. Some people want to have lots of money because they think it makes them important. There are some people who think that having money makes them happy. This is wrong. Money cannot make people happy or rich.

What makes a person rich? There are many things that can make a person rich.

1. If a person has a nice family they are rich. Having nice people as friends or in your family can make a person feel good like you are not alone. Also, when people give you presents on your birthday or other holidays that makes you feel good because you know that these people like you. You are rich because you have nice people liking you. The price of the presents does not mean anything. Even a simple birthday card shows you that your friend or family is thinking about you. It shows that you are in their heart. You know that they want you to be happy. You are rich in family and friends. This is the best kind of rich.
2. Another thing that makes a person rich is when you can look at a sunset and you can see the pretty colors in the sky. Also, when you can hear birds singing and see friendly animals in the woods or at a zoo, you are rich because you can see the nice things in Nature. Pretty flowers smell good. Good smells in Nature can bring happy things to your mind. Nature is a place where you can feel rich. All the things in Nature are free. You don’t need money. You can be rich without money.
3. If you have good health you are rich because you feel good. You don’t have to go to the doctor all the time, only when you need the doctor to make you not sick. Being sick is bad because when you don’t feel good, your body might hurt and then you can’t do the things that you want to do. You can’t have fun. So when you feel good you are rich.

There are many more things that can make a person rich, besides (1) having nice people in your family and friends, (2) having things in Nature to look at, and (3) feeling good in your body. Each person can find many things in their own life that can make them rich. Having money does not make a person rich.
