When it rains there is plenty of free water falling from the sky. We can put this free water to work in several ways that will end up saving money for us.

One easy way to conserve water in the toilet tank (and save money) is to use less water. If we put something in the toilet tank, less water will be used each flush.

Everything is expensive these days, even the food that we give our pets. To save money on pet food, always buy the largest containers that you can find. Even if you have a tiny pet, buying the largest bag of food is wise. If you keep the dry food in a cool, dry cabinet it will keep for months at a time.

Save Electricity in the Kitchen

Anything in the house that uses electricity is a potential money saver. If it is a light bulb, then the more it is turned off, the more money is saved on the electricity used. If we could live in the dark that would be a great money saver! When it comes to appliances we usually don’t think of them as electricity hogs. Things like refrigerators, stoves, mixers, dishwashers and more use a fair amount of electricity every time we use them though we don’t usually think about it.
